Wesak celebration
The Wesak celebration at Mahinda-rama Buddhist Temple on Jalan Kampar in Penang will start with the lighting of 2,554 lotus candles at 8pm on Thursday. There will be food offerings to the Buddha and Buddhist monks at 11am on Wesak Day on Friday. The annual twakeng (Maha Samaya Sutta) blessing ceremony will be held at 7.30pm on May 29.
